Heart's Desire (prod. URBAN030)

lyrics

I spent the last week traipsing valleys,
And I just swam through the lake of Hali
And now the clearing is before me
And I step into the shade as the glade surrounds me - The play’s finale
Hear them both approaching through the rocks and the trees
Eyes not on the green, now I drop to my knees
And grab at the cardioid blossoms
Starting this deep you cannot avoid problems
Behind me comes a hollow bray
The pale horse and its dark rider call my name, appalling fate,
I rip the flowers faster and ignore the sound
Put a handful of em in my mouth and try to my best to choke them down
And as the red goes down I feel the hand upon my shoulder cold
And something else goes empty and i feel like I just sold my soul
And as it gets good I’m waking up, break of dusk,
Looking at the ceiling think of flowers and I taste them some
Crawling out of bed to greet the new day I’m coping with
Catching my reflection in a window and get frozen stiff
Handprint on my shoulder, honestly what’s scared me more’s
The tattoo of a heart up on my arm that wasn’t there before
