LIBRARIAN: You blessed me with the gift of pluripotent talent! Look! [cutie mark appears]
DITHER: Oh. Uh, shit.
LIBRARIAN: Now I can see the future. You know you’re in the place of endings?
DITHER: Yeah! I needed a destination for the end of the… What was it I was working on again?
LIBRARIAN: The Lea is the place of endings, from which all souls and psychopomps depart the vulgar plane and leave their heart’s desires behind. Death stalks this forest.
DITHER: Yeah, I remember something about that. Where is he?
LIBRARIAN: He doesn’t need to come for you. Your story’s been over since the first time you came here. Now hold still. [grabs him]
DITHER: Wh- hey, what are you- let go-
LIBRARIAN: Physician, heal thyself.
DITHER: Wait, but, what are you doing to -
LIBRARIAN: I have to heal you. I have to give you back your talent, it’s why you came here. The world has to wake up to what it can be, but I can’t spread this myself, I’m not the right vector between the pox and the world. It has to be you. It’s your ending.
[world ending]
DITHER: But… but I don’t know if this is right or wrong now! I- I’m not ready!
LIBRARIAN: (laughs) Who is?
[a storm of cutie mark noises, SFX swell]
